A Kaduna state High Court through Justice Darius, has graciously granted the permission for the release of the Shiite leader, El-Zakzaky an application submitted by Mr Femi Falana on the 29th of June, 2019.

Eight medical reports were presented to the court, which showed that the cleric and his wife are in dare need of medical attention.

However, the DSS through its Public Relation Officer, yesterday evening confirmed the release of the Islamic cleric, stating that they were ready to obey court order this time.

The Shiite group has staged several protests on the streets of Abuja, demanding the release of their leader El-Zakzaky

Mr Sunday Ubani has explained that the order to release the Shiite leader was not a bail order as wrongly reported by some news agency, but only an order to release him for medical attention, after which he is to return to Nigeria to continue his trial.

According to the ruling, the cleric is to be on medical release, precisely to India, as requested by him (El-Zakzaky) himself, and only upon discharge by the said hospital should he be returned to the country for a continued trial

The whole process is therefore going to be strictly supervised by the state

Some Nigerians have reacted to the report, with some saying it is clear that the court order was only obeyed on the directory of the President, with accusation that the Judicial system of Nigeria has lost its independence

They have also called for the immediate release of Showore who was arrested by the DSS after planning the Revolutionnow campaign, which was held yesterday in Lagos, however, some of the protesters were arrested, while some sustained injuries from gunshots during the protest

The freedom to condemn a government is now a crime in Nigeria, with the fear of democracy turning into autocracy in the hands of president Mohammodu Buharias alleged by some Nigerians

Some Nigerians have also condemned the president for presenting an alleged fake certificate, which violates the electoral law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

There was also a counter protest which was allegedly organized by the federal government to counter the Revolutionnow campaign

Several allegations have been laid against the president in recent times and with the look of things, the current situation of Nigeria is fearful and pathetic, with reports by the UN of many Nigerians now in a situation describes as Multidimensional poverty

Pray for Nigeria
