Every business idea is as old as the earth, they aren't new, you only discovered them and became an entrepreneur (problem solver)
"The world is changing and anyone who wants to succeed will have to move with the trend" Pondering over this statement, I concluded that it may be true, but the real deal lies in the way you do it to shake the table.
Real Life Examples
Information Technology (IT)
Few years back, in the 60s to be precised, the world was not as linked and information technology was not as popular as we have it today. However, by and by into our own contemporary world, the internet has opened the eyes of many to several opportunities that abound and how they can make use of those opportunities.
Sit down in the corner of your room and you can reach to several people or clients within the twinkle of an eye.
Trends come and they turn stale, and wasp cold with time, but this is not true for information technology. Perhaps, the reason for this is the daily discovery of tools that are used in IT to solve problems in the various spheres of human wants and desires. For this single reason, IT would be a life time trend
It’s good that you're thinking you shouldn't venture into something common, but there are things you just have to reconsider because they are life-time trends, although, they need great creativity
Although, your own issue with trends might be the fact that a lot of people are into it at that point in time and that makes it have a short-lived form of specialty and its failure to move people anymore as time goes by.
There is no doubt, you and I know that learning of fashion design is a current trend in Nigeria, and some people will simply tell you they can't learn it because a lot of people are into it already. I don't have any personal problem with that decision, but the fact remains that what makes the difference is the creativity and innovative approach you used in achieving something. If its trending, you do something really different.
Invention can mean recreating something that has already being createdThe point I've been trying to make is this:
As good as it seems not to want to follow the crowd in doing something, I feel it is even better to do what the crowd is doing in a different way and make the crowd follow you 😜
